427,767 LBS OF PLASTIC SAVED
To convert the 427,767 pounds of plastic into the number of water bottles that we used in our tri-blend and recycled blend fabric last year is about 12,000,000 water bottles. That is crazy! Another mind-blowing stat is about 1.3 billion water bottles are used each day and only 9% of them get recycled. You can help change this stat by using a reusable water bottle and taking it with you. There are fill stations at just about every drinking fountain, and if you want purified water, then invest in a water filter dispenser. Come on, we can do it, people!
2,313,182 KG OF CO2 REDUCED
Why is it important to reduce our CO2 footprint? The rise of CO2 is warming our Earth which affects all of us. We've all seen the heartbreaking videos of polar bears with ice melting around them, and we've dealt with major weather changes where we live. I live in Portland, Oregon, and I had to get a/c installed 2 years ago! We used to be able to get by with just opening the windows back in the day, but now we deal with multiple days of 100+ degrees.
What can you do? There are so many little things we can do in our daily lives to reduce our carbon footprint. Change out those old light bulbs to LED (and recycle the old bulbs!). Once you do that, turn off the lights when you leave the room! Stop buying water in plastic. Keep your things out of the landfill; donate used items, have a yard sale, and offer things for free on Offer Up.
632,371,325 GAL OF WATER SAVED
That is a lot of water! So you can picture just how much water that is, it's 958 Olympic-sized swimming pools! We love that we continue to make a difference in our industry by showing the world that you can make premium products with better ingredients and fewer resources. (Speaking of the Olympics, who's excited to see that Snoop Dogg is part of the coverage? 🙋♀️ I can hardly wait!)
That being said, how can you help to save water in your own life? You know the easy ones, turn off the faucet when you're brushing your teeth and doing the dishes, set a timer when you're watering your yard/garden, take shorter showers, and only run full laundry loads.
