How did Active Water Sports start?
Warren Freece started Active Water Sports back in 1982. He got his start teaching his friends how to waterski in the late 70’s. His father encouraged him to make a business out of it and find a way to make money loving what he does. After opening a couple of waterski accounts he was able to turn his passion into a business. At the Portland boat show in January of 1982 Active Water Sports was born. Warren was one of the only ski and ski boat dealerships on the west coast.

Why did you decide to have Allmade as your primary t-shirt option?
AWS has been in business for 40 years now and we are continually looking for was to be more efficient in how we run our business. With that core value in mind it only makes sense that we give back to the environment in any way that we can. With Allmade’s eco-friendly model partnered with it’s positive humanitarian standard it is a no brainer to use their garments for all of our branded clothing.
How do you bring greener practices into your shop?
At AWS we try our best to recycle, reduce, and reuse anywhere that we can. Living in a world that produces so much waste we try to be as sustainable as we possibly can.
