Behind the Seams: Our 2025 Journey in Honduras
What if your t-shirt could tell you where it came from—and who it helped along the way?
We took a group of Allmaders to Honduras to see exactly how Allmade shirts are made, from spinning yarn to stitching seams. But what we find everytime is that it's more than a process—it's a purpose.
Here’s what the journey looked like.
Day 1: Settling In and Soaking It Up
After arriving in Honduras on Monday, we spent the day exploring local shops and connecting with the culture right out of the gate. We wrapped the evening with a welcome dinner, excited for the immersive experience ahead.
Day 2: The Heart of Our Supply Chain
Tuesday was a whirlwind of insight and inspiration. We began at CottonWise (CW), where we saw our Allmade triblend fabric come together, and how our Canadian-made products are crafted.
Next, at Elcatex, we dove deep into sustainability practices. From fabric creation and dyeing to cutting, we saw firsthand how sustainable processes are built into every step.
We then visited Central America Spinning Works (CASW) to witness cotton and poly yarn spinning—seeing the raw materials at the very start of their transformation.
Our final factory stop was Genesis, where Allmade sewing lines brought our garments to life. Watching the precision and pride of these workers was truly moving.
But perhaps the most meaningful moment of the day came during our visit to a local boys orphanage, joined by girls from the orphanage Allmade visited last year. We painted a mural, organized an Easter egg hunt, and saw our group’s fundraising efforts in action—bringing smiles, supplies, and support to an incredible organization.
The day closed with a heartfelt poolside recap, where we named NEW Allmade product colors, processed what we’d seen, and shared reflections as a group.
Day 3: From Beans to Brews
Wednesday brought a slower but deeply educational experience. We journeyed to a local coffee farm to see how another key crop of Honduras is grown, harvested, and roasted. More than just about coffee, this visit gave us insight into the economic and cultural lifeblood of the region.
We ended the day once again with a delicious dinner and group recap, sharing gratitude for the people, the stories, and the connections made.
Day 4: Departure with Purpose
As we departed on Thursday, the sentiment was clear—this was more than just a factory tour. It was a journey into the heart of what makes Allmade different: ethical production, sustainable materials, and a shared mission to do better by people and planet.
