The Interesting Spinning Process for Allmade's Recycled Tees

We visited Recover’s spinning facility in El Salvador to see how waste becomes the yarn behind our AL2300 Recycled Blend Tee and AL3000 Heavyweight Recycled Cotton Tee. Unlike our combed ring-spun styles, this process uses open-end spinning, which is faster, more efficient, and perfect for shorter recycled fibers.

The steps, simplified:

• Open bales of recycled cotton and polyester

• Blend fibers by exact weight

• Comb the fibers into a long, soft sliver

• Spin that sliver directly into yarn using open-end spinning

Using post industrial waste keeps cutting scraps out of landfills and builds demand for circular materials. Better shirts start with better choices, and it all begins right here at Recover! See your exact impact with our Impact Calculator!
