Allmade + Project C.U.R.E. = Covering Colorado
This year has been challenging for so many of us, and for those without access to PPE, it has been even more difficult. Check out how we used our eco-friendly Allmasks to help those who are in need.
The background - COVID-19.
In early March of 2020, Allmade Apparel pivoted from making eco-friendly t-shirts to making eco-friendly masks. This was something we never even thought about making before, and was now all that we talked about. A couple of months later, the face mask market became inundated with a wide variety of different options. As everyone found their preferred style, our sales slowed down a bit, and we had an excess of masks. But we didn't know what to do with all of them. So we reached out to some non-profits to see if there was a need for our masks.
The problem - The Need for PPE.
One of the non-profits that responded was Douglas Jackson, the CEO of Project C.U.R.E. Douglas requested 20,000 masks . . . whoa! That's a lot of masks! Quickly after Douglas explained their mission of providing medical supplies to rural communities and under developed countries world wide, we knew Allmade wanted to be part of their journey.
The solution - Covering Colorado.
Project C.U.R.E. is based out of Colorado and when COVID happened, they switched their distribution model to serve the US hospital system. Allmade has deep roots in Colorado as one of our founders, Dominic from Superior Ink, is located in Denver. Ryan reached out to Dominic to see if he wanted to be part of this project, and if you know Dom, you know he immediately was all in! Being the big hearted, thoughtful, innovator that he is, it was a no brainer for him.
Ryan and Dom met up with Douglas to see how they could put a project together and help out. After meeting with Douglas, they learned more about Project C.U.R.E.'s mission and realized how close their values aligned with Allmade and Superior Ink's values. Project C.U.R.E. collects, sorts, and ships over 200 containers a year of medical supplies worldwide. Through donations of medical supplies and funds they raise annually, Project C.U.R.E. saves tens of thousands of lives, talk about feeling your impact! We were inspired to help not only solve the need for PPE in rural areas of Colorado, but to help the global mission of Project C.U.R.E. Check out our collaboration, Covering Colorado.
The goal - We need your help!
Covering Colorado’s goal is to donate 20,000 Allmasks that Project C.U.R.E. needs for hospitals in Colorado as well as raising $100,000 to help support their mission worldwide.
